1. Read:  
   1. Hartl Chapter 6 & section 7.1
   2. Understanding the basics of Ruby on Rails: SQL databases and how they work by TK
   3. Request-Response Cycle II by Codeacademy
2. Watch video lecture (in PioneerWeb under “Video Lectures” and at YouTube) and ask questions in the Q & A Discussion forum
3. Attend class (in the General Channel) and practice creating a new model and SQL database which you can push to Heroku for practice:  Simplified Model and Database exercise
4. Do Homework 6: Adding a Database (due 9/15)
5. Work with your team on the team project
